BÓKADAGAR 2026: Author Talk with Sanna M. Klein and Rannvá Mortansdóttir

The novel Dreymsótt spent a long time at the top of the bestseller lists, but it was only half the story. Now comes the other half: Marra!
Five narrators try to save themselves and their loved ones in a terrifying society where no one trusts anyone anymore. The only hope seems to be to flee the country. But how do you do that when everything is recorded and being caught means certain death?
Marra by Rakel Helmsdal picks up where Dreymsótt ends, following the characters as they find themselves in an even worse situation than before the failed coup attempt on 25 April 2036.
At the literary festival Bókadagar, the new novel, a continuation of Dreymsótt, will be presented. Rakel Helmsdal will discuss the book with Sanna Maria Klein, literary researcher and upper secondary school teacher, and Rannvá Mortansdóttir. During the conversation, Sofía Nolsøe will read excerpts from the chilling novel.
